Over the past month I’ve been taken through a deep process with alignment. On the last new moon, I realised the things I’d been working towards and house we were living in, were no longer aligned. And I was being asked to completely re-route.

I surrendered completely to Divine Will and by the next new moon (a few days ago) I was hosting calls from our new house, which is the first place we’ve lived that *really* feels like home 🏡

I heard the message, responded to it, surrendered into the flow of where life wanted to take me - and it all just aligned.

And it was that simple***. 

***except it wasn’t really *that* simple haha

Because this was our dream home and we’d only been there 8 months after not having a home of our own for so long and we couldn’t possibly go through that process all over again, right? And what if we didn’t find somewhere before Christmas and subsequent real estate office closures? And it meant we had to just give up on all these things we’d been working on and investing in. And alllll the fears and worry and anxiety and stories that came up when life invites you to surrender into the mystery, leap into the unknown and make a big change.

So, in truth, while the decision itself WAS simple because I understand how important it is to listen to that guidance when it comes in - the fact is that there IS an art to really, truly, radically allowing yourself to be moved by alignment. And to get the results, you need to understand how to weave magic and art with this process.

The art is in being able to really hear what’s coming through (without the clouding of your fear or conditioning or protective mechanisms), respond to the call (without letting the mind tell you all the reasons you can’t or shouldn’t or why it won’t work out) and stay the course when it all feels a bit challenging, overwhelming or scary (remembering that if you were called down this path, it’s because there’s something here for you).

I’m no stranger to living this way, in fact I’ve been prioritising this way of relating to life for years. I had some pretty wild and unbelievable things work out and come through. And a whole bunch of experiences I never would have had if I’d just stayed where I was or listened to the voice that told me all the reasons I shouldn’t do the thing. (In fact, it’s even become known as “pulling a Hannah” because I somehow manage to make the unrealistic possible, and it’s all through understanding the art of alignment!)

But this time was different, it’s like the whole process was slowed down and showed to me piece by piece. So that I can now share it with you.

This way of living absolutely has the potential to change your life. Not just because it will help you align with that which is really meant for you (ie your destiny), but also because that’s truly what this human life is about - having the experiences we came here to have, living the life we’re meant to live and being in the places we’re meant to be!

As I see it, there is a way to live life where you just tick boxes. Go to school, get a job, meet a partner, get married, buy a house, have some kids - ✅ tick the boxes that society has told us are important and necessary for a good life.

And then there is another way to live - probably the way that the people you look at and think “wow I wish I was brave enough to do that” live - and that is where you prioritise having the experiences that your soul chose to come to planet Earth to have, by activating a deep listening and then following the voice that guides you, even when it doesn’t make sense or is scary AF. Which is not only way more fcking interesting lol. But it’s also literally living your destiny. Doing what you’re here to do. Experiencing the things your soul really desires to experience. Allowing yourself to be placed exactly where you are meant to, in order to be who you’re meant to be, do what you’re meant to do and receive what you’re meant to receive.

Now that doesn’t mean every single thing will feel good. It means you’ll probably be lead down some pretty unconventional, surprising and seemingly “un-smart” pathways. But it will be R E A L. And it will be deep. And it will be the exact thing your higher aspects are guiding you towards. Which means it will be that which is actually *for* you.

And the thing about the first way of living, which is society’s definition of the “smart” way to live, is that your path is already laid out ahead of you. The coveted experience is a certain level of predictability that doesn’t aggravate the ego. It’s about knowing what each day will be like, what pay you’ll take home at the end of the week, where and when you’ll be taking your 2 weeks annual holiday, what you’ll have for dinner on tuesdays, etc. 

The priority is this stability that breeds a false sense of safety. Because truly, safety in the external can only come when we have created safety on the internal - ie we become safe for ourselves by not needing to constantly abandon, distract, numb or escape.

Because what I’ve found to be truth, is that when you follow the alignment that your soul calls you to - even if there are challenges and bumps in the road and detours and tears, none of that takes away from the magic. When you live this way, in alignment with your truth and purpose, you welcome it all. Because you know that all of it is ✨ F O R   Y O U ✨ and I can’t even begin to tell you what magic there is in that simple truth.
